About Storm

Storm Groenendijk (b. 2006) is a young Dutch photojournalist from Utrecht. He studies photography at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam. Storm started his career in photojournalism as an intern for the local weekly newspaper Den Haag Centraal, where he now also works as a freelancer. His assignments vary from reportages to editorial portraits.

As a photojournalist, he is attached to ZUMA Press Wire, an American international press agency. Through this agency, his photos are published in national and international newspapers, including the Daily Mail and the Economist.

In addition to his photography, Storm works in disability care with the aim of starting nursing school after his studies, in order to work for the ambulance service.

In the future, he hopes to combine these two passions. He wants to become a (inter)national photojournalist, and aim to create powerful visual reports and impactful images that tell real human stories.

Airsoft Photography

Besides photojournalism, Storm also photographs for the Dutch airsoft team Jagerbombers. He captures airsoft skirms the team takes part in. Even in the chaos of airsoft and flying BBs, he manages to create strong, eye-catching images.

Publications

Storm works as a intern and freelancer for the local newspaper, Den Haag Centraal based in The Hague (NLD). He also freelances for District8 and most recently ZUMA press.
